John Hendry led the offensive side of things with reaching base safely 4 times out of a possible 4. Ian Durrant, Jono Penny and Charlie Capener all drove in 2 runs each, Coach Julio Perez feet must have been on fire stealing base 4 times through the 7 innings. John Hendry, Julio Perez and Lewis peplow led the way with 2 runs scored each and Lewis Peplow led the day with 4 walks, you can tell he doesnt like running, defensive wise the Brewers were sound today, Jono Penny made a couple good catches in center field and used his arms to keep the Cutters from running riot, Matt Vernel pitched 4 superb innings of baseball with Coach Perez taking over and carrying the torch till the end of the game. The Cutters played a good game and came out on top, their bats were warmer today with their very own Dan Kitts hitting one over the fence for a 2 run home run, they will meet up for the rematch at Newton Brewers home field of stover school on Sunday the 9th of june, be there or be square as they say, everyone had fun today and enjoyed playing more baseball, the Cutters were fantastic hosts and we look forward to playing them in a few weeks. Till next time dont forget to keep swinging, fielding, throwing and running and most importantly dont forget to join us for more Brewers Baseball.
